Berkeley Stairs

Hark, Explorers! Lark, our Explorer has recently uncovered some of the little known histories of the Berkeley stairs and is eager to share it with the guild. This is just in time too as Ernie Mirador and his tireless efforts on the stairs during the 60's and 70's is looking to be acknowledged by the city. We need an expedition team of Explorers to follow up on this research! For those of you joining, you'll hear first hand accounts of the importance of the stairs and get to know them from the people who made them what they are during that time. You'll also get to appreciate the many sights of the hills along with a day out with the Explorers.

This expedition is happening on Saturday, April 21st with a Meetup time of 10am at the North Berkeley BARTstation. As parking is limited in the hills, we'll meet there then carpool up to the trailhead together. You'll need to pack a lunch, water, jaunty hat and some good walking shoes.

If you're interested in joining, let us know ahead of time so that we can plan carpools accordingly. Specifically, let me know if you plan on driving or carpooling/BARTing in.

This will be an excellent expedition full of stories and mystery and I look forward to seeing you out there soon!
