Aculeo Flag

The Aculeo Flag is an artifact found by Troupe 001 at the Point Montara Lighthouse watch room, attached to the fog signal room. The flag, which has stayed in relatively excellent shape, came with several additional artifacts too. Each one is highlighted below.

The Flag

The flag shows a slight variation from the modern look, most notably from the center mark. The fundamentals remain though with the four compass spokes, and spokes in-between, radiating off from the central circle on a field of red. The symbolism remains: each primary spokes representing one of the four foundational ethos of the guild along with the in-between spokes representing the concepts between those, along with circle representing the concept of the self, and finally the field of red representing the core foundation of being a redshirt. The modern concept of the open circle as well as connected spokes didn't come about until after the wars, so places it appropriately to the 1800's.

The artifact is extraordinary and will be flown on special troupe occasions.

Aculeo Letter

Letters

These letters accompanied the flag and served different purposes. The first was a more historical purpose, outlining the exchange that took place in order for it to arrive where it has. This letter also references the included newspaper article along with the Guild captain Jules Tollemache, who was on their way to explore the Sierra Nevadas when the Aculeo met its fate.

The second letter details instructions by an explorer named "L.A.J." The instructions are clear to relinquish the parcel only to a captain of the Explorers Guild, which was done so during troupe 001's stay at Point Montara.
